Francesco Popolizio (Chalmers University of Technology) is a PhD student in the Automatic Control research unit at Chalmers University of Technology. His research focuses on energy management for electric vehicles, with a special emphasis on bidirectional charging strategies such as vehicle-to-grid and vehicle-to-home. He works on optimization and control methods to coordinate energy flows between EVs, homes, photovoltaic systems, and the grid, while accounting for battery degradation. His research has been funded by the Swedish Energy Agency, in collaboration with the industrial partner Polestar AB.
